High School Reunions

I married the senior class president of my high school. He didn't plan a 5 year reunion. Three years later, I still get occasional complaints. I tell people that they didn't elect me. Talk to him.

Personally, I didn't miss the 5. The officers met recently to start planning our 10. It should be good.

Are 5 year reunions important?

I went to my 5 year and it was really lame. My 10 year is next week but we will be on vacation. Normally, I have heard that most 5 years are lame and the 10 years are fun. Tell people to relax, they can show off their family and money in a year.

My graduating class didn't have a 5 year either. Our class officers were lame enough to plan our 10 year only about 2 months before it actually happened and it turned out to be a complete farce. Not to mention that many of my friends live across the country now and did not attend. If you want Topher to find out how to NOT plan a class reunion, have him look at the way the class of 1996 did theirs. Lessons learned...hopefully!

I heard after the fact that the class of 1999 sort of had a reunion... as in the senior class officers emailed the handful of people whose info they had, and no one else found out about it. I would have liked to have gone, but now I'll just look forward to my 10 year next year. Hopefully it isn't lame. What I'd really rather have is a madrigals reunion. That's about the only people I'd really want to see anyway.

OH man...I'm totally in the same boat!!!! Brody wasn't even the class president...I think he was the secretary...but we didn't have a 5 year reunion either and I have recieved complaints! I want to tell people that they shouldn't have voted for him just cause he was a hot jock (hee hee).

To be serious, we talked about doing a 5 yr. reunion and we decided that 5 years wasn't long enough for us to have missed seeing everyone! We'd all kept in touch enough by then to not think it was a big enough deal.

We will do a 10 yr though.

I don't think 5 years are that important...basically it's just enough time to finish college. I'm looking forward to my 10 year though.

Bingham High class of 76!
We had a Hooker in our class...she was actually a good friend of mine from the ward.
Several of people who came to our ten year reunion were drinkers and they entertained the rest of us. I wouldn't have missed it for the world!!! Mary Lou wore her silver sequin (sp) bikinni top with a mini skirt. She went from one guys lap to another till she got all the attention they could stand to give her. All the rest of us sat and secretly gauched at her. Memories sweeten with time others just get more weird?

5 year reunions seem lame. Most people haven't really lost touch yet or done anything worth getting back together for. If I were the class president I wouldn't have planned a 5 year reunion either.

we planned a 5 year. it was fun, but i think 10 is better. more things have changed by then. most of the people who bugged me about the 5 year didn't even show, so i think it's probably just something to talk about when you see someone from high school. good luck with the 10!
